The Centre (BELGIUM)

The Centre is operating as an interface between European public policy and communications, with its purpose of pioneering new forms of dialogue and promoting better communication among business, civil society and public policy leaders in Europe. The forum acts as a hub for fresh thinking from organisations from around Europe and beyond, as well as the full range of institutional and societal interests active in Brussels itself. It is about bringing a new perspective to ongoing policy debates; facilitating the engagement of thought leaders from around Europe in the European arena. The Centre will act as a catalyst for influential dialogues within and among organisations that operate in the European marketplace.

Mr Bertrand DÉPREZ has an experience of communications and public affairs campaigns with trade associations, industry groups, journalism, European institutions and diplomatic missions. He has a significant track record in the field of environment, energy efficiency and sustainable development. He is a French citizen with European outlook – co-founder of the “Forum 311”.

Mr Julien SCHIETTECATTE is French national with 4 years experience as a lobbyist for a multinational telecoms company. During this time, Julien lead several advocacy campaigns related to telecoms, from network to content issues. He has developed an extensive knowledge of the key stakeholders active in the sector and has the ability to represent business interests on politically sensitive issues involving consumers’ interests. He has been advising major companies and organizations at The Centre since January 2008.
