Pour la Solidarité (BELGIUM)
This European think tank’s main ambition is to encourage solidarity in all its forms by pursuing a specific approach consisting in creating competence networks between 5 main stakeholders: enterprises, public actors, trade unions, NGOs and researchers. It supports knowledge production and facilitates the networking of different socio-economic players who are active in the solidarity activities.
The European Sustainable Housing Observatory is one of their achievements aiming at being an information platform, a meeting point for exchanging experiences, organizing events and making recommendations to the political decision-makers, relaying competences for an added value in this field.
Pour la solidarité will bring its expertise in identification, analysis and dissemination of good practices, development of recommendations and in effective tools such as setting up observatories or resource centres, especially by participating to the working group related to intelligent buildings.
Mr Denis STOKKINK is the Chief Executive Officer of the NGO. He has an experience as secretary-general and then spokesman of a Social Economy Confederation in Belgium, advisor of the Federal Minister of Employment, advisor then Cabinet Director of the Minister-President of Brussels-Capital Region. Denis is also professor at the Université Libre de Bruxelles.
Ms Marie FIERENS is graduated in Journalism and has a master's degree in Conflict and Development.
She first worked for the Minister President of the French Community and was most specially in charge of sustainable growth issues. She is now project manager for the European Think tank “Pour la
Solidarité”.
