ICEMENERG develops energy research studies and provides technological engineering services for increasing energy efficiency over the entire energy chain, including energy production, transmission, distribution and consumption, with the aim of ensuring a sustainable development.

ICEMENERG’s business structure is divided among its different service and research centres: Energy Efficiency Centre - Electrical Equipment, Substations and Networks Section (SESR), Automation and Relay Protections Laboratory (LATP), ICEMENERG Publishing House; Materials and Equipment Expertise Centre - Thermal-Mechanical Section (STM), Metal Expertise and Diagnosis Section (SEDM), Automatization, Hydro Power Equipment and Electric Machines  Section SAHME; Centre for Energy and the Environment - Environment and Ecotechnologies Section (SME), New Materials Laboratory (LMN), Energy Efficiency & Renewables Laboratory (LUER), IT Department (SPRTI); National Energy Observatory (NEO).

ICEMENERG’s experience in the coordination of national and EU funded projects in the field of energy will be used in the three workshops (ICT for energy efficiency in buildings, ICT for energy efficiency in transports and impact of ICT on behaviours).

Ms Maria RUGINA is graduated from the Faculty of Physics – University of Bucharest. She is now working as senior researcher within Energy Research and Modernisation Institute (ICEMENERG) – Bucharest. Her main field of work is energy efficiency with a focus on energy audits, energy efficiency indicators, data bases. She published three books and more scientific papers.
