AREE is an association of regional actors in economy and environment. AREE pilots the College of High Studies on Sustainable Development (CHEDD) (Valenciennes, France). It works for a large comprehension of the development, to be integrated in a sustainable development approach and thus by according importance to the environmental, temporal (future generations) and ethical dimension (good governance). Its ambition is also to raise awareness among decision-makers concerning a complete definition of sustainable development and help them integrate and translate it into their policies and strategies.
AREE’s role in the proposed project, through CHEDD, is to help raise awareness, but also train and accompany decision-makers and allow replications of the approach. It will bring its know-how in the organization of awareness raising activity aiming to create a common culture of the sustainable development originated in the exchange of ideas, knowledge and experiences. AREE will specifically be involved in the communication, project management and organisation of conferences. It will also be involved in the working group concerning behaviours as its pedagogic expertise can be here widely exploited.
